Meet Coach David Scarborough – The Mind Behind Built2Box

With over 30 years dedicated to combat sports, Coach David Scarborough has lived and breathed the fight game. From competitor to coach, his journey has taken him through the worlds of MMA, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and Boxing, where he has trained and conditioned fighters to maximize their strength, endurance, and fight performance.

David is a certified Personal Trainer and Pain-Free Performance Specialist, as well as an England Level 1 Boxing Coach and Thai/Kickboxing Coach at Mamba Gym. He specializes in combat-specific strength and conditioning, helping fighters become stronger, faster, and more explosive—without unnecessary bulk or burnout.

After years of working with elite athletes and developing cutting-edge training methods, David created Built2Box—a series of science-backed strength and conditioning programs designed to optimize fight performance, enhance endurance, and prevent injuries. These programs integrate Boxing Science methodologies and Quantum Nutrition strategies, ensuring every fighter has the tools to succeed inside and outside the ring.

It’s really hard to describe the impact of working with Dave, but I’m going to give it a really good go. The reason being is that our training relationship has been so varied and broad and evolved significantly over the years.
